There is a strong possibility it was an improper tow. A campaign to start a class action suit is being seriously looked into.
It has been glaringly obvious that only certain people were targeted while others, like the board president, continues to park in violation of the CC&Rs without fear of being "tagged" or towed. He will claim he has permission from a previous administration to park his RV on common ground, but that permission expired as soon as it was no longer his only transportation to work, years ago. And he knows it.
This is grossly unacceptable and highly selective, as well as down right discriminatory.
Were you accused of 'storing' your vehicle? A family's father went on vacation and his car was towed right out of his privately owned driveway while he was out of the country.
One of the security guards had his vehicle towed without warning, citing 'fire lane'. He was NOT parked in a 'fire lane.' Yet the property manager parks in the exact same spot without fear of being towed. Thanks to the quick action of some homeowners, the security guard was able to get his car back before it left the property. Three witnesses saw the tow driver drop the car twice in his rush to leave. Later, the driver lied, saying he never dropped the car. The security guard had to report the driver to his supervisor in to force to comply with Vehicle Code 22658.
Please contact the email listed above if you had a vehicle towed. We are looking to file a class action suit.
Building finished and the first units were sold. The association is formed as an unincorporated, NON-PROFIT association.
The street, Anne Sladon (no one is certain how 'Sladon' is pronounced), was named after the developer's granddaughter.
Anyone with historical information of our neighborhood is invited to share their stories. We can create a page of interest about our community.
How does this rate compare to other hoa's? The current voting power is pushing to raise it again, and probably every year after. What is it paying for? Can we do better? Did we really need a new tot lot that never gets used? Why did all the homeowners pay to have a former board member's unit treated for termites so he could sell his unit when he didn't qualify for such? Why was another former boardmember's debt of thousands of dollars in arrears for dues and fees 'forgiven' while others are vehemently pursued for theirs?

Apparently, not all homeowners knew who to contact if they had questions or concerns.

Some people have complained they tend to be 'forgotten' or ignored when they make such requests by phone or U.S.P.S. mail.
There are more than one kind of condominium. Riverdale is classified as a Public Urban Development (PUD) by the County Recorder office. According to this government office, you own the lot and the building for your unit.
If you want proof of this, check your title or the county recorders office.
Yes, some of the lots have front yards and are NOT common ground as certain individuals tried to make people believe before.
